Experimental Investigation for Augmentation of Thermal Performance of Solar Air Collector

This paper presents a study of the thermal performance solar air collector used to heat drying fruit and vegetable dryer. The prototype could be viable solution improve energy efficiency food security in Burkina Faso other developing countries, by contributing reduction post-harvest losses increase income for local agricultural producers. is first realized using black painted cans as ducts, perforated turbulence, glass covering collection surface. After realization, connected dryer measurement campaign conducted evaluate it. measured parameters are sunshine temperature keeping speed fixed at 0.3 m/s. analysis results shows an important variation difference going from 0.1°C 74.4°C, between inlet outlet irradiation which varies 142 W/m2 837 W/m2. surface ducts well turbulence contributed 0.94% 50.68% allowing record temperatures ranging 27.2°C 69.2°C inside range favorable most products.
